Ruby Fox Milligan admitted to her small family she was responsible for Ethan Anderson’s death on Wednesday’s Emmerdale episode.
Ruby Fox Milligan (played by Beth Cordingly) admitted to her beloved son Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) that she was responsible for the hit-and-run which left Ethan Anderson (Emile John) seriously injured.
During Tuesday night’s Emmerdale episode, fans discovered Ethan had tragically died days after the hit-and-run, with his father Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) convinced the accident caused his death.
A vengeful Ruby admitted: “I only wanted to shake him up.” Her husband Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) added: “Because she thought she was going to lose, you. You have no idea what that’s like.”
A disgusted Nicky replied: “You ran him over for God’s sake and now he’s dead.”
Caleb told his son Nicky there might not be a connection between the hit-and-run and Ethan’s death, but Nicky looked as though he might not be able to keep the news to himself.
“You’re asking me to be complicit and cover up a serious criminal act, possibly even a murder,” Nicky raged to Caleb.
He stormed out of the house without promising anything to his parents, but Ruby seemed certain he’d keep their dark secret from the rest of the village.
However, viewers are convinced he will report his mother to the police as it is the right action to take considering an innocent person has died.
