Emmerdale fans are speculating that Charity Dingle could be the one to halt Tom King’s mistreatment of his wife Belle, following a significant revelation.
During the visit to ITV’s beloved soap on Thursday (June 27), Tom’s vile antics took another disturbing turn when he discharged himself from the hospital after a near fatal accident.
Taken as an emergency to hospital, owing to mishandling rotary isolator with a metal pipe in the barn. Tom had erupted in fury upon discovering Belle had secretly opted for an abortion instead of having miscarried, and unleashed his wrath while in Butler’s farm’s barn.
Electrocuted by high voltage, he was declared dead after his heart ceased for a minute. However, following a hasty admission to hospital, Tom made a quick recovery and discharged himself.
Arriving home, Tom wasted little time returning to torment Belle, feigning ignorance about her abortion, reports the Express.
In the meantime, Charity dropped by to check on the pair while Belle looked terrified at the sight of her husband, her suitcase still packed by the front door from when she’d planned to escape.
“I was worried for a moment there Tom”, stated Charity, to which Tom replied sarcastically: “Not as worried as Belle, she thought she was going to have to arrange my funeral.”
An uncomfortable silence followed as Tom laughed off his disastrous incident before being questioned by Charity about the damaged barn. Shifting blame quickly, Tom urged Charity to leave, stating: “We just want to be alone.”
Charity remains persistent in questioning the villain about why he isn’t having medical treatment after a near-death experience before he diverts the conversation by revealing Belle’s miscarriage.
Caught off guard, she tries to console Belle as best she can. However, it becomes too intense for Belle who removes herself from the discussion.
This initiates doubt in Charity who begins to suspect something isn’t right between Tom and Belle when he instructs her to exit their home. Emmerdale fans have been left clinging onto the hope that Charity will uncover Tom’s abusive behaviour and rescue Belle.
