Kim Tate ‘set to lose everything’ in Emmerdale as unexpected foe crawls out of the woodwork

In Monday’s Emmerdale, Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) was still missing. All we know is that Kim Tate (Claire King) and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) dumped her at a remote location and left together.

Later her bag and other possessions were found at the spot – but there was no sign of Rose. Since then, Kim and Will have each been suspicious that the other one has done

something terrible to Rose as the lies and excuses mount up. Although Kim has moved back to Home Farm after being exiled to the B&B for a while the couple are still not sharing a bed and tensions between them are high.

To that end, it seems like Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly)’s plan to use Rose to divide Kim and Will and destroy their marriage has had a measure of success, although Kim is confident that she’s now back in control of the situation.

To underline that fact, she delighted in telling Caleb (William Ash) what his wife had been up to in this episode, telling him that Ruby had been paying Rose to destroy her marriage.

Previously, Caleb was Kim’s public enemy number one when he concocted a complicated scheme to destroy her empire because he blames her for the death of his father, Frank Tate (Norman Bowler). Caleb was even willing to make his gay son, Nicky (Lewis Cope), go through a sham marriage with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) as part of the plan.

Kim soon uncovered what was going on – but it seems Caleb’s ambitions have never gone away. Rather than Ruby, it looks like Caleb is the person Kim should be most worried about.

He drove Ruby to a remote location and told her he’d bought some buildings and some land – and would be buying more when the insurance paid out on his recently burned-down car firm. He was confident this would happen because he’d bribed the insurance company with a ‘couple of thousand reasons’ why the fire wasn’t arson.

He told Ruby that she’d made a mistake when going after Kim in thinking that Will was the most important thing to her. ‘She loves him and all that, but not as much as she loves being the big I Am, being the lady of the manor riding around up here on her horse,’ he said.

‘But not for much longer. I’m going to build an empire right here on her doorstep.’

As the new lord and lady of the upcoming manor kissed to seal the deal, a new phase of the plan to destroy Kim Tate was set in motion – and one she never saw coming.
