Chris Bisson has established himself as a mainstay on our TV screens throughout the years. The actor first gained recognition in 2009 for his portrayal of Jai Sharma in ITV’s Emmerdale.

Chris is in a relationship with longterm partner Rowena Finn. The happy couple have been together for over 15 years, but are yet to officially tie the knot.

Rowena and Chris are proud parents to son Harry, who was born in 2013, and daughter Ella Rose, born in 2015. The soap actor regularly shares sweet family photos on social media, giving fans a glimpse of fun holidays and birthday celebrations.

In 2016, Chris romantically popped the question to Rowena on the pair’s 10th anniversary. The couple had headed to the Lake District for a romantic anniversary getaway, when Chris surprised his longterm love by asking her to marry him.

The newly-engaged couple shared their happy news with OK! after the proposal, with Jai explaining the sweet moment he popped he question while Rowena revealed she’d been hoping for a ring for a while.

Recalling the moment he popped the question, Chris previously told us: “We’d seen an elderly couple walking and holding hands earlier. It was very sweet. I said to Rowena, ‘There’s a reason I brought you here. You know that old couple we saw earlier?’ ‘Well, would you like to grow old like that with me?’”

Rowena also told us after his proposal: “All my friends said it was obvious Chris was going to propose after ten years, but to me it wasn’t because I’d already waited ten years! Every anniversary I was hoping I’d get a ring.”

Rowena and Chris reside in Manchester with their two children Harry and Ella Rose, and regularly share snippets of their family life online. The family are currently in the process of having their dream home built in the city, with Jai keeping fans updated with the progress on Instagram.
