Emmerdale’s Belle King considers whether to report her abusive husband Tom to the police next week.
Belle seeks some advice from her sister-in-law Lydia Dingle as she weighs up her options following Tom’s evil crimes.
So far, Belle has confided in her family over Tom’s abuse and has also tried to warn his new girlfriend Amelia Spencer that he’s not to be trusted.
Next week, Belle considers her next move after an unexpected call from Kim Tate, who’s her landlord at Dale Head cottage.
Kim warns Belle, who’s currently staying with her family at Wishing Well, that the house has been left in a mess.
Supportive Lydia agrees to accompany Belle as they head to the house together to investigate.
Once inside, Belle is shocked to find one of Tom’s secret spycams left behind. She’s horrified to realise that Tom could have been filming her for several weeks when she was still living at the property.
The following day, Belle confides in Lydia about how the existence of the spycams has left her feeling violated.
Lydia encourages Belle to report this to the police – as well as Tom’s other crimes – but Belle is reluctant to re-live her traumatic experiences. She also doesn’t want to have to share personal footage in court.
As Belle continues to carefully consider her options, she asks Lydia about her experience of reporting rapist Craig Reed to the police.
