Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper has revealed more about her character Belle King’s disturbing new discovery.

Belle considers reporting her abusive husband Tom to the police next week after uncovering evidence which proves that he has been secretly filming her.

The revelation comes as Belle’s landlord Kim Tate asks her to pay a visit to Dale Head cottage, which has been lying empty in recent weeks.

Kim reveals that the property has been left in a mess. When Belle and Lydia Dingle head off to investigate, they find one of the secret cameras that Tom used to spy on Belle after she’d ended their relationship.

Although Tom had tried to cover his tracks by removing all of the cameras, he slipped up by accidentally leaving one behind.

Speaking about the scenes, Eden explained: “When Belle finds the camera, I think it’s the most unnerving, sickening thing that has happened so far.

“Obviously there’s the physical side of Tom’s abuse, but mentally this is horrific because it’s in her home.

“It’s where Belle felt safe and I don’t think she can wrap her head around it.”

Following the discovery, Lydia suggests that it might be time for Belle to report Tom’s various crimes to the police.

Belle remains reluctant and questions Lydia on her experiences when she reported rapist Craig Reed last year.

Eden continued: “Belle chats with Lydia because obviously it’s a huge decision and she thinks reporting it to the police will result in worse things happening.

“Belle doesn’t know what to do and she doesn’t feel safe whatever she does.

“Lydia opens up about her decision reporting Craig, how she got to that point and what that meant for her. Belle being open and honest with Lydia – and Lydia being the same back – really gives her clarity on what she should do next.

“It’s hard for Lydia and when Belle leaves the room, it really hurts and breaks her.

“But Lydia has that moment to herself. I don’t think Belle is really there for Lydia in that moment, in the same way that Lydia is there for Belle. Belle is so wrapped up and consumed in it – and obviously Lydia is still processing what happened after all this time.”
