Emmerdale fave addresses return rumour following co-star’s tearful exit

An Emmerdale star has addressed rumours of a star possibly returning to the show following a tearful exit.

As Emmerdale viewers know, Nate Robinson, played by Jurell Carter, left the Emmerdale village for a new job in Shetland. It was hoped Tracy and their daughter Frankie would join them.

However, those plans fell apart after Nate’s ‘kiss’ with Moira. Of course, millions of Emmerdale fans know that didn’t happen although Nate’s loved ones didn’t believe him.

The character eventually ended up leaving the village in an understated manner. This has led some fans of the ITV soap speculating Nate might return.

As reported by the Metro, Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy has answered some of those rumours. She said: “All I know is he’s in Shetland having a lovely time. So, watch this space. You’ll see.”

Ahead of his exit, acting star Nate spoke to media about leaving Emmerdale. It was something of a tearful affair.

Opening up, Jurell said: “On my last day, Jeff (Hordley), who plays Cain, made a beautiful speech. It was beautiful. I told myself on my last day of filming that I would be fine and I’m making the right decision and I’m going on to the next chapter.

“As soon as Jeff started making his speech, everyone was on-set, the cast and crew, this was at the village, I started getting emotional. I didn’t think that was going to happen. I started crying.

“Even looking back, I told myself I was going to be fine but as soon as Jeff started I got emotional. Then Nader, who works in production, he made a beautiful speech as well. I got emotional because the place means everything to me. It has been a massive part of my life for five years.

Firmly part of the Dingle clan on-and-off the screen, Jurell has been full of praise for cast and crew, particularly those who form that special Emmerdale family. Offering some details about his leaving bash, Jurell said: “They really spoiled me. Mainly the Dingles.

“They organised a party at a music hall. They bought me gifts, gift cards, champagne and vouchers.” One particular gift Jurell described as ‘cheeky’ and involved some subterfuge.

“There’s a running joke at work. Everyone seems to love my fragrance but I never tell anyone what I’m wearing,” Jurell explained. “Amy, who plays Tracy, was asking about gifts (in general). She mentioned fragrances and I told her where she could go to get some nice fragrances.

“She clocked on, that was my favourite spot. They really spoiled me. It was a beautiful send off. Just being around people I love. It meant a lot as they all mean a lot.”

As well as gifts, Jurell left the village with some Emmerdale souvenirs. He explained: “They basically gifted me my first script with some really nice messages. I’ll have that forever. That’s a present that I’ll keep forever. Jeff took my dressing room name label (for Jurell). Just little stuff like that. It means everything.”

After Nate’s last episode aired, many of acting star Jurell’s castmates took to social media to say farewell.

“Bro we miss you already. The corridors don’t smell the same,” wrote Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle. “Always remember looking at the roof in the Dingles’ (house). That was my moment I’ll cherish with you forever. Love you big man. See you soon.”

Tracy Metcalfe star Amy Walsh said: “I’m not crying, you are. We all miss you already J, you are a true diamond, a gentle giant, a total gent. I’ll miss having to find the camera around them big shoulders. Good luck on the next adventure. Proud of you.”
