Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has hopped over to fellow ITV soap Coronation Street for a visit alongside wife Kate Brooks

Kate recently joined Corrie as its new producer, having previously worked on Emmerdale alongside Vanessa Woodfield actor Michelle since 2018.

As Kate settles into her new role, Michelle went on a tour of the cobbles alongside their two kids, posting a series of sweet pictures outside iconic spots including the Rovers Return.

“When you come to pick Mama up from work, and accidentally stumble onto the wrong set,” Michelle joked in the caption.

Many responded to the visit in the comments, with Corrie’s Tony Maudsley (George Shuttleworth) writing: “Oh noooo. I missed you!! Come back immediately!!”

Vicky Myers (DS Lisa Swain) added: “Love this,” while Liam McCheyne (Dylan Wilson) shared heart hand emojis.

Some of Michelle’s fellow Emmerdale stars also commented, Ash Palmisciano (Matty Barton) writing: “Ah love this xx,” while Fiona Wade (Priya Sharma) said: “Love.”

Following the announcement of Kate’s Corrie role earlier this year, Michelle expressed her pride at her wife’s new job.

“PROUD WIFE ALERT,” she said on Instagram. “So the news is out that my beautiful, talented wife is swapping the Dales for the Cobbles to take on the role of Coronation Street Series Producer.

“I know everyone at Emmerdale will miss her smiley face and fabulous story brain. To all my friends at Coronation Street, you’re very lucky, you’ve got a good one there.

“Good luck Kate! Me, Teddy and Betty are all so proud of you and love you all the world and more.”
