. Mandy noticed a picture among Ella’s belongings showing two little girls, one with red hair and the other with black curls. When Ella saw Mandy looking at the photo, she quickly took it back and resumed her secretive behavior.

A few days later, Ella sneaked out of the village to visit a care facility, where she spent time with June Phillips, an elderly woman with dementia. The scenes revealed a shared history between Ella and June, hinting at a deeply sad past. In the Friday, May 24 episode, Ella visited June with a bouquet of flowers, only to find her room empty. A worker informed Ella that June had passed away the previous evening. Devastated, Ella struggled to process the news as she sat alone in June’s room.

The woman who broke the news to Ella added more distressing details, stating that only family members could handle June’s funeral arrangements. This raised questions about why Ella had been spending so much time with June if they weren’t related. In later episodes, it is speculated whether Ella’s true relationship with June will be revealed during the funeral.

In a sinister Emmerdale cliffhanger, Ella Forster is accused of being a child killer. Manpreet Sharma discovered that Ella had been visiting June at the care facility. Although viewers learned that June was not Ella’s mother, Manpreet had assumed she was. This misunderstanding led to tense moments on Thursday, May 30, after June’s death. Ella confided in Manpreet that she would be attending June’s funeral and told Liam she needed some alone time.

Liam’s suspicions about Ella’s honesty grew, but he dismissed Manpreet’s concerns to console her after Ethan’s sudden death. Manpreet mentioned that Ella was attending her mother’s funeral alone, prompting Liam to insist on being there for her. Liam visited the surgery and found Lila on his computer, leading to a heated exchange as he prepared to support Ella.

At the gravesite, Ella placed flowers and spoke aloud, expressing her sorrow and hoping for peace for both June and herself. As the service began, Liam arrived, introducing himself as June’s daughter’s boyfriend, causing confusion. An irate relative confronted Ella, accusing her of being a child murderer. The shocking finale left viewers and Liam in utter disbelief.

In another gripping storyline, Ruby Fox Milligan confessed to her involvement in Ethan Anderson’s hit-and-run accident. Ethan had died from injuries sustained in the crash, which Ruby had caused in retaliation for an earlier accident involving her son Nikki. The May 29 episode showed Caleb trying to dissuade Ruby from confessing while PC Swirling requested a conversation.

As the village speculated about Ethan’s death, Ruby struggled with her guilt. Back home, she admitted to Caleb that she felt like both a murderer and a coward. Ruby eventually told her son Nikki about running down Ethan, who was horrified by the revelation. Caleb defended Ruby, explaining that she believed Ethan’s carelessness would cost Nikki his life. Despite the tension, Caleb urged Nikki to keep the hit-and-run a family secret.

Meanwhile, in a subplot, Vanessa and Rona criticized Tom during a work performance evaluation, leading to a heated confrontation. Fans are now demanding that Vanessa confront Tom for his behavior, suspecting him of mistreating Belle.
