Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle will be at the centre of the action next week, as a barn blaze leads to multiple characters fighting for their lives in a series of huge twists

Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle is set to be at the heart of a dramatic barn fire next week, with hints dropped about what could be wrong with her character.

Moira’s increasingly erratic behaviour escalates into a dangerous situation in a barn on her farm, putting lives at risk. A massive explosion tears through the barn after Moira’s health seems to deteriorate further.

Several beloved characters will find themselves in a life-or-death situation next week, following a confrontation with Ruby Miligan that leaves one person unconscious. As villagers rush to rescue them, a lethal blast engulfs the building, trapping people inside and throwing those outside onto the ground.

While the fate of the characters remains unknown, fresh spoilers suggest that Moira’s concerning actions persist. Alongside a shocking incident involving stepson Nate Robinson, Ruby is shocked to discover Moira in distress at the barn.

Events soon spiral into the deadly fire, and in an unexpected twist, Ruby’s voice starts to merge with that of Moira’s old enemy, Emma Barton. Moira becomes convinced she’s seeing the woman she murdered back in 2017, reports the Mirror.

Emma had previously almost killed Moira in a fire just before Moira went into labour, and next week a disoriented Moira believes Emma is in the barn. Discussing the upcoming scenes and Moira’s behaviour, actress Natalie has hinted at what might be happening with her character.

After a recent collapse and her own admission of not feeling well, Moira’s mysterious condition might get some light shed on it in the upcoming episodes. Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira, told media outlets about her character’s struggles: “She’s got no idea what is happening to her.”

“Definitely the PTSD comes through because we’re in the barn, the triggers are what it was before, it was Emma Barton in the barn when she tried to kill me, and then I had a baby I didn’t know I was having! Only in Emmerdale! So I think it sets something off in her, she starts to see Emma’s face in Rubys’ face. Ruby obviously doesn’t know what is going on, Moira has totally lost the plot.”

Natalie continued, revealing more about Moira’s state: “I think there might be other things going on but theres definitely a build-up to things, definitely buried a lot of stuff and things do tend to come to the surface over time. It could have certain triggers that could do that, I think that is what she’s experiencing at the moment, amongst other things.”

Discussing Moira’s unsettling experiences, Natalie added: “She’s definitely unsettled by it. Clearly convinced its partly menopause but what starts to worry her is the way she’s reacting, different outbursts she can’t control her anger at the minute.”
