Emmerdale star teases exit as they confirm their character’s life is in serious danger

Emmerdale star Dean Andrews has confirmed that his character Will Taylor’s life could be in serious danger in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap.

Will is currently being targeted by a blackmailer, who is demanding money in exchange for their silence about Will’s kiss with ex-wife Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco).

Unfortunately, recent scenes saw Will miss the cash drop-off in favour of helping out with the barn fire – something that had terrible consequences for his situation.

His furious blackmailers warned him that he now owed £50,000 and, to make sure he knew they were serious, they stole Kim Tate’s (Claire King) horse.

With the pressure on, Will is set to take a loan from Caleb Miligan (Will Ash), putting his share of the haulage company on the line in the process – but will it be enough to get him out of trouble?

‘He’s hoping so!’ Dean Andrews teased. ‘In his head, somebody asks for X amount of pounds, you find X amount of pounds and, in his head, the problem will go away. Whether that in reality is the case…’

‘Somebody with a little more intellect than Will might think they’ll just keep coming back for more, but he’s just desperate to get what they’re asking for and then he feels like he’ll be OK.’

When he returns home after informing the blackmailer that he has their money, he finds Kim missing, and is horrified to receive a call informing him that she has been kidnapped.

‘That’s his whole thought process – Kim’s kidnapped, the horse has been taken, somebody wants fifty grand, he’s up the creek,’ Dean explained.

‘And he doesn’t really know what to do. He gets very panicky about it all. He’s basically at the end of his tether and will do anything to make this problem go away.’

‘He’s getting notes and directions from a voice in the woods, that he can’t fathom out where this voice is coming from or why. He’s just gone into a random woods, he’s hearing all kinds of voices. He gets really panicky.

‘He’s got the money in his bag, he’s got the fifty grand, he doesn’t know what’s going to happen when he finds… He just keeps saying to somebody, “I’ve got the money, just come out, stop messing about, stop all this stupidity just come and get the money and leave me alone.”‘
