Emmerdale actor Claire King reflected on her time playing Kim Tate at an event with fans last night (July 26).
Alongside writer and This Morning soap correspondant Sharon Marshall, they hosted an evening in which they looked back on the iconic ice queen’s best moments – a character Claire has played on and off since 1989.
Claire took questions from fans and watched back some of her most memorable scenes from the soap’s history, revealing she’d had an “extraordinary evening” at the event.
“It has been an extraordinary evening looking back over all these years and watching all those scenes whilst sitting with such a huge group of people who probably know more about Kim Tate than I do!” she said.
“Evenings like this are rare and it was an absolute joy to step away from the studios and spend this time with the show’s fans. Let’s face it, without them none of us would be able to do what we love, bringing our characters into their living rooms every single week. It was a night to remember for a very long time.”
Looking ahead, there’s lots more drama still to come in Kim’s current story with Will and Rose.
Meanwhile, there is also plenty of cast news happening with the soap. Actor James Chase will be leaving at the conclusion of the Tom abuse storyline, Alfie Clarke confirmed that his character Arthur will be back soon, and Paula Lane has extended her contract to stay on as Ella.
