Dawn Taylor’s mother has been secretly working with Ruby Fox-Miligan to take revenge on Kim Tate by getting close to her estranged family.
Last week, Rose succeeded in turning her family against Kim by making it seem like she’d drugged Dawn. In reality, Rose had been trying to spike Will but mixed up her cups.
In Monday’s (July 22) episode, Will was resistant as Kim insisted Rose spiked the drink as part of a “cat-handed attempt” to set her up.
“If you think I’d do anything to put Dawn at risk, then you’re not the man I married,” Kim told him.
Kim felt she had no choice but to leave Home Farm temporarily to protect young Evan, especially after Billy confessed he’d been the one who’d accidentally got the baby sick.
Lydia remained sceptical of Rose, warning her that Home Farm was still Kim’s house and Will was still her husband.
“If you want to keep your job, I’d keep it zipped,” Rose snapped back at her.
Rose asked for Lydia to clear out as she took a phone call from Ruby, though she had no idea that Lydia turned on the baby monitor before leaving the room.
From the next room, Lydia listened in as Rose bragged to Ruby that she’d been able to poison most of the family against Kim.
“Will’s devastated, but once the trust is gone, it’s gone. That marriage is over,” Rose gleefully reported. “I reckon I deserve a bonus, don’t you?”
Later, Billy and Will were taken aback as Rose assured them they were “better off without that snake (Kim)” in their lives.
“Our future as a family, it starts here,” Rose promised.
Meanwhile, Lydia met up with Kim in the village to reveal that Rose was plotting with someone against her.
“I heard her telling someone that the job was done, that you’d left,” Lydia reported.
Lydia suggested they go “straight back up to Home Farm” to reveal that Rose has been part of some secret plot.
“Or, we could just sit tight and wait for the world’s least competent plotter to trip herself up,” Kim replied. “Somehow, I don’t think it’s going to take too long!”
