This week’s episodes have seen Tom finally arrested for coercive and controlling behaviour as well as assault, though his estranged wife Belle has since been told police need “concrete evidence” against him.
The villain has been warned by his solicitor to find a missing tablet containing damning hidden camera footage from Dale Head, or risk going down if the police get to it first.
Tom’s cousin Carl originally found the missing tabl
Isaac’s mum Moira found disturbing videos on the tablet but forgot about it after suffering another seizure due to her brain tumour diagnosis.
In Friday’s (October 4) episode, Tom figured out that Carl must have taken the device when he noticed him acting “shifty”. Tom offered to take Carl to his dentist appointment to get more information.
Once he got the boy alone, Tom demanded to know whether Carl had “stolen” his device. A frightened Carl admitted he’d taken it to play games, but later gave it to Isaac.
“What the hell did you let him [take it] for?” Tom shouted at the child. “I need that tablet. My whole life is on it!”
Back at Victoria Cottage, Tom continued to frighten Carl by suggesting the child “could end up in jail like [his sister] Angelica” for stealing the tablet. Carl begged Tom not to tell his parents, Jimmy and Nicola King, what he’d done.
Once Nicola got home, Tom made an excuse to go take Carl for a milkshake. The pair saw Isaac with the tablet in the village, but Tom stopped Carl from going to ask for the device.
“I will deal with Isaac however I decide,” Tom insisted.
What is Tom planning?
et, before his friend Isaac Dingle swiped it to play video games.
