Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson is set to become a dad for the first time, after announcing that fiancée Sammie Johnstone is pregnant.

Bradley, who has played Vinny Dingle on the ITV soap since 2019, took to Instagram to share the joyous news with his followers.

In a sweet post captioned, ‘Mum and Dad,’ with a love heart emoji, Bradley shared pictures of a delicious looking cake, announcing that the baby is due in December 2024.

The couple also shared some adorable polaroids of themselves holding the baby scan photos, and a personalised baby grow, as well as a sweet video

His Emmerdale co-stars were quick to congratulate him in the comments of the post, with Victoria Sugden actress Isabel Hodgins saying that she is, ‘so happy for you both’.

Lisa Riley, who plays on-screen mum Mandy Dingle, couldn’t contain her excitement as she wrote: ‘LOVE YOU BOTH SO SO SO SO MUCH. At long long last I can tell everyone-you are both going to be the absolute BEST!!! YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! So excited!!!! I’ve said congratulations to you both over a hundred times.’

Amelia Spencer actress Daisy Campbell penned, ‘Congratulations!!! So happy for u and ur little fam,’ while Dean Andrews, who plays Will Taylor, wrote: ‘Mate, I could not be happier for you both. Massive congrats.

‘Ah mateeeee this is amazing news!!! So happy for you both!! Huge congratulations buddie! What a fun and lovely dad you’re gonna be,’ Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty Barton, wrote.

Over in Emmerdale, things aren’t going quite so well relationship-wise for character Vinny, who recently began to fall for Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham).

Though her feelings for him were mutual, when it came to taking things further than just kissing, Vinny ended up pushing her away and asserting that they were just friends, after struggling with the concept of losing his virginity.
