Emmerdale has aired a huge twist for Rose Jackson and Ruby Fox-Milligan, with a plot between them being revealed.
Ruby, the wife of Caleb, has been having a tough time lately, with her son Nicky in the hospital following his serious car crash, which was caused by Ethan Anderson.
Ruby has vowed revenge and went as far as running Ethan over with her car, putting his life at risk as he prepares to stand trial over his crimes
Rose has moved in at Home Farm to support daughter Dawn after her son Evan was diagnosed with leukaemia, but tonight’s (May 27) scenes revealed that she had been planted there in order to target Kim Tate.
The episode began with Ruby and Caleb paying respects to his late father just as she heard the news that Nicky would make a recovery, though her mood was dampened as she received an ominous text.
The message, which came from a mystery contact, read: “STOP IGNORING ME, CALL ME”, with Ruby looking sheepish as she left the graveyard. Rose, meanwhile, was speaking with Dawn as Ethan prepared for a jog, with Rose locking eyes with the Miligans.
As the family settled in at the pub, Rose approached Ruby as she headed for the toilet, revealing herself as the mystery contact as the pair clearly had something going on.
Rose outlined her plans for wanting out of whatever arrangement they had, but Ruby wasn’t in any mood to be ordered around as she stated that she would be in contact soon, maintaining that the deal was still on.
Ethan, meanwhile, shared a tender moment with Dawn as she spoke about her mother, before he later expressed his urge to repair things with the Miligans after seeing that Nicky had left the hospital.
After spotting Ruby parking her car in the village, Ethan followed her as she met up with Rose, with their arrangement becoming clearer. Ruby had previously cleared Rose’s debts, giving her leverage and a chance to exploit Rose.
The plan involves Rose ruining Will and Kim’s relationship, which if successful would clear Rose’s obligation to Ruby. Unbeknown to them, Ethan heard the entire conversation.
But, will he act upon the information before his potential incarceration?
