The beloved face was arrested recently after accidentally stabbing Samson Dingle (Sam Hall). In reality, we know Samson’s horrible friend Josh pushed him into Matty which resulted in the incident, but the two teens have spun a story that makes it seem as though Matty stabbed Samson without provocation.
While Matty has been behind bars, the Dingles have been arguing over who to believe. The likes of Cain and Moira (Natalie J Robb) know that Matty is a kind soul who wouldn’t ever think about hurting someone, while Lydia (Karen Blick) and Sam (James Hooton) have battled with them, convinced Samson is the one telling the truth.
In the pub, after Kerry (Laura Norton) gave her view on Samson lying and Matty being truthful, Cain arrived and confronted him.
Once again, he tried to get Samson to be honest but it didn’t work. Sam and Lydia defended their boy, with Sam getting up and telling Cain he needs to choose which side of the family he wants to be on.
Meanwhile, outside the prison, Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Moira were watching Matty get escorted outside.
We overheard the conversation between Matty and a prison officer, who said he knows Matty is trans, but thinks it’s best if he keeps this information a secret while in the van, and behind bars.
Matty agreed and was then taken into a small holding cell within the vehicle.
As he sat all alone, other men started to make noise and encourage Matty to reveal why he’s doing time.
Matty stayed quiet as his anxiety grew, with the men telling the beloved face that eventually, they will find out everything about him.
Poor Matty.
If the fact he is transgender is exposed in prison, just how much danger will he be in?
