ITV has confirmed yet another schedule change to make way for UEFA Euro 2024, meaning it’s bad news for soap fans yet again!
Despite originally slated to air this evening, Emmerdale and Coronation Street are no longer part of ITV’s schedule as the channel broadcasts Austria v France from 7:15pm.
The game will see both teams kicking off their campaigns in Group D, and coverage will be presented by Laura Woods, with analysis from Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Ian Wright, and commentary by Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon.
Instead, fans will get to soak up all the action in the Dales on Tuesday 18th June at 7pm with two back-to-back episodes.
Viewers will be able to tune in at 8pm to find out what the residents of Weatherfield are up to, and things are set to take a turn between sisters Toyah and Leanne Battersby.
During this week’s episodes, Leanne (Jane Danson) announces she is paying for baby Rose’s funeral out of her savings, but when Institute cult member Rowan lurks around the funeral, Leanne reveals that it was actually Rowan who paid for it.
Abi (Sally Carman-Duttine) is left shaken by the news, and she later tells husband Kevin that Corey’s dad Stefan is a board director of the production company who made the documentary, and he also owns the magazine Bethany is working for.
Meanwhile, on Emmerdale, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) takes a dark turn as she grows disheartened that Samson won’t budge on his story about Matty, declaring that there are more ways to skin a cat.
