Emmerdale’s Amy and Matty are set for disappointment next week as their wedding faces an unexpected setback. The couple are getting ready to walk down the aisle but little do they know that Kerry is struggling to find the funds to pay for their big day.
Kerry starts avoiding Suzy as she tries to sell her necklace to make the cash for the wedding. Eventually Suzy tracks her down and warns her that she needs to make the payment or the wedding is off.
Elsewhere Matty and Amy are at their wedding rehearsal and they still have no idea that Kerry is yet to pay. Things get worse as Kim shows up and demands payment for the venue. Kerry is left feeling defeated when she realises that the necklace hasn’t sold for what she was hoping for.
On the day of the wedding Kerry is left with no choice but to admit that she can’t afford to pay for her daughter’s big day.
Matty is left blindsided by the news the wedding is off, but Leyla receives a mystery call and soon the wedding is back on.
Speaking to Yorkshire Live and other media, Amy actress Natalie Ann Jamieson, revealed that her character will be “absolutely livid” when she find out about Kerry’s betrayal.
Speaking about how it will affect their relationship, Natalie continued: “Amy and Kerry have had this thing for time where you know – Amy has been in care and Kerry wasn’t really there for her and when they got back together, there was times where Kerry really proved herself and all of a sudden she just drops the ball and that is a very Kerry pattern.”
She added: “Amy has just started to put her trust in her after all this time and now this has happened so Amy is quite upset and I think it might take a while for her to get over this one.”
