*Emmerdale* star Rebecca Sarker, who plays Manpreet Sharma, has dropped hints

about a possible return of the notorious killer Meena this Halloween, raising alarms for fans.

After a tumultuous year following her split from Charles Anderson, things might be about to get even more complicated for Manpreet.

Since joining the show in 2018, Rebecca has captured audiences’ hearts as Manpreet, but her character’s storyline has faced significant challenges. The drama intensified in 2020 when her long-lost sister, Meena, played by Paige Sandhu, re-entered the scene. Fans were riveted as the manipulative killer wreaked havoc across the Yorkshire Dales, all while Manpreet remained blissfully unaware of her sister’s sinister activities. However, Rebecca has hinted that Meena’s reign of terror may not be over just yet. Speaking to *Express.co.uk* at the Inside Soap Awards 2024, she teased that viewers might see the villainous character return to the village: “We loved working together, and it would be amazing to get us back together again, wouldn’t it? I mean, she’s very much alive and kicking—probably ruling the roost in jail. She could pop out, couldn’t she? I wouldn’t put it past her.”

This potential return comes at a challenging time for Manpreet, who is still reeling from Charles’ recent romance with Laurel Thomas, a situation Rebecca described as a rebound. “It’s not love; let’s rein it in a little bit. It’s clearly a rebound, but for Manpreet, Charles is the love of her life. It’s obviously shaken her, but she’s a strong woman and she’ll bounce back—possibly in somebody else’s arms.”

Looking ahead to the festive season, Rebecca shared that Manpreet will find strength and support from a new housemate. “I know that Manpreet gets a new housemate, so I think that’s all I can tease, but we’re looking forward to that partnership.” Fans are left to speculate about who this mysterious new character might be and how they will impact Manpreet’s life.
